The family of the Ceratophyllacées includes/understands ten Espèce S pertaining to the kind Ceratophyllum .
They are entirely immersed watery plants, without root S, of the pond S and Rivière S with weak current. The sheets are in verticils, the stems present many ramifications and are very breakable. Flowering takes place in the water which ensures pollination. Plant with rapid growth, gross producing of oxygen, the species Ceratophyllum demersum is used in aquariophilie.
According to the phylogenetic classification this family belongs to the orders of old divergence and are not true dicotylédones.
