Cepaea sylvatica
Cepaea sylvatica (Draparnaud, 1801) is a Mollusque Gastéropode hélicidé.
Description
The shell of this species measures 12 to 16 mm height and 18 to 25 mms (seldom up to 28) diameter. It globulous is slightly depressed and consists of 5 to 6 convex turns.
Habitat
This Escargot lives in moist environments and the mountain forests between 500 and 2400 m of altitude.
Distribution
This species meets in the the Alps and the the Jura in France and Suisse. It is also present in the high valley of the the Rhine until Karlsruhe and Worms. It was introduced into the gardens of Landsberg (valley of Lech).
