The Centurion was the first British tank of battle of the post-war period. He is regarded by much as being one of the best designs of British tanks from time immemorial. Conceived during the Second world war, it was useful in Europe, but it arrived too late for the active combat. It is often deferred that it brilliantly was used during the Guerre as Korea where he would have exceeded the American tanks and Soviet. It was known to be one of the designs of tanks most largely widespread equipping with many armies in the world. A small number was always in service in the years 1990.
In Switzerland, its turret regularly was dismounted and placed in work concreted, known under the name of Centi to prohibit the road accesses to other tanks.
