Centralien ocean

Sea of the Silurien and the Dévonien, Western part of the ocean Paléotéthys, which bears the name of the Massif Central. Whereas the Océan Rhéique started with subducter under the northern margin of Gondwana at the beginning of the Silurien, or was located the grounds active to form the France, the phenomenon Subduction opens a marginal Mer which separates the Terrane from Armorica of Gondwana. Far from broad, it started with closed again at the end of Silurien and was sutured in Dévonien when Gondwana entered in collision with the group Laurussia - Armorica-Iberia, forming the Pangée.
