The Organization of the camps and inns of youth (OCCAJ) is néée after the second world war. It is resulting from the movements of catholic Action which want to create and manage their own association of popular Tourisme.

In 1951, the OCCAJ modifies its name by replacing “inns of youth” by “activities of youth”, and becomes thus the central Organization of the camps and activities of youth .

The OCCAJ ceased its activity in the years 1980.

French federation of Popular Tourism

In 1949, the OCCAJ gives rise to the French federation of Popular Tourism (ftp). The ftp contributed to the births of the first Villages Holidays Families.
