Central federal District
The central federal district is one of the seven federal districts of Russia. The “central” term is used here with the political and historical direction; container Moscow, the capital of the country, this district is in fact located all at the West of Russia.
Characteristics
The central federal district is the second smaller district federal of the country (with 650.700 km ², it counts for less than 4% of the surface of Russia) and more populated (approximately 37.991.000 inhabitants, is more of the quarter of Russia).
