Central company of public works
The central Société of public works ( SCTP ) is a company of public works created with Saint-Doulchard in the Cher on May 1st, 1947 by Bruno Simonetta. Disappearance of the company at the end of the years 1980.
This company becomes then a group integrating the Companies: Lionnet (Metal frames), Chanteloup (industrial Plumbing), Electrofluide (Electricity and insdustrielle Plumbing), SMC (Joinery Aluminum and Wood), Sigmat (Hiring vehicles).
Principal achievements: Water level of Bourges, AMX, Palate of the Congresses of Bourges.
Abroad: Gualeloupe in the years 1950 (urgently baptized city “ tit-city” by the workmen because of form of the built residences), Rebuilding of El Asnam (Algeria), 925 houses with Hassi Messaoud (Algeria), Barracks of Oran (Algeria), Stage of Sangmélima (Cameroun).
History
- It takes part at the origin with rebuilding works in Normandy then with the development plan of the Guadeloupe until the years 1950.
- Of return in metropolis it carries on an activity of drains then of public works and is directed towards industrial premises with the favor of resumptions of Companies to the complementary activities, then industrialized semi-heavy elements intended for export.
- Thus as of 1976 is delivered to the Saudi Arabia a quartering of gendarmerie.
- In May 1981, following an earthquake, the Group exports and builds in urgency 312 residences on the site of El Asnam (Orléanville) in Algérie.
- In May 1982, the Group is seen entrusting the realization of 925 residences to Hassi-Messaoud on behalf of the Sonatrach. These modular designs entirely prefabricated in the workshops of Saint-Doulchard are transported by semitrailers until the site. After establishment of the base-life (150 people) the building site was held of May 1983 at June 1984.
- Fine 1984, the Algerian Ministry of National defense entrusts to the Company a contract construction of 7 barracks with Oran, representing 100 .000 m ² floor. These constructions with metal framework and frontage concrete are entirely prefabricated in the workshops of Saint-Doulchard and are transferred onto 1.200 semitrailers. After the assembly of a base-life of 356 people, constructions were carried out between July 1985 and Juin 1986.
