Central Kongo

The province of central Kongo is one of the provinces envisaged in Democratic republic of Congo by the Constitution of May 2005.
It is located at the west of the country to the mouth of the river Congo on the Atlantic Ocean. Its territory corresponds to the current province of the Low-Congo.
Name can astonish, since the territory of this province corresponds to that of the province (second republic) of the Low-Congo. The name, already used in a name at the beginning of the Years 1960, renvoit makes some with the Empire Kongo, of which this part of the low-river was the central part (compared to north, Cabinda and Congo-Brazzaville) and in the south (north-western of the Angola).
