Brazilian music , originating in the Nordeste, crowned symbol of the Carnival of Salvador de Bahia, this style is very rate/rhythm, involving and merry.

History

The centered is a popular musical movement born in the State from Bahia in the Années 1980, during the popular demonstrations of the carnival of El Salvador. From this movement several currents derived, among which most known is the Samba-reggae, illustrated by the groups Brazilian Negroes Olodum, Island-Ayiê, Muzenza and Araketu. It draws its origin from the Candomblé , Religion Brazilian Negro, but is subject to also the influence of the Frevo, of the Rock, the Reggae and the Latin rates/rhythms (Salsa, Merengue and Bolero). The ritual ones and the festivals of the candomblé make today integral part of the culture and the Brazilian folklore.

The success of Luiz Caldas with the song Rural Tieta C , topic of the serial Tieta , diffused by Globo in 1989 mark the appearance of the style centered at the national level. This success will be then confirmed by interpreters like Netinho, Daniela Mercury and Ivete Sangalo. They are today without question one the principal Brazilian musical currents, occupying the first ranks as regards sale of CD, diffusion in the media and many concerts.
