Center sciences of Montreal

The Center of sciences of Montreal is a scientific museum of Montreal, with the Quebec dedicated to the scientific popularization, the promotion of the knowledge and the development of the scientific culture and technique. It is in what was called formerly hangar 7 of the King-Edward quay, in the Old port of Montreal.

In 1998 began work from the new building, baptized Center iSci (contraction of the words interactivity and science), inaugurated the May 6th 2000, with the same site as the old Expotec exposure. Into 2002, the name is changed for Center of sciences of Montreal. It since accommodated several permanent and temporary exposures. The building also shelters a cinema IMAX.
