Center of hull
The center of hull generally named C is the center of volume of the careens or also the Center of gravity of the fluid moved by the hull of a Navire.
The careens being, in this case, the portion of immersed hull.
A ship taking a transverse slope or longitudinal variable on water, the center of hull moves on two curves which for weak changes can be comparable each one with two arcs of circle of respective centers m and M called Métacentres of hull (transverse and longitudinal). It is important not to confuse metacenter of hull and center of hull. The metacenter of hull is always with the top of the center of gravity ( G ) of a ship, whereas the center of hull is frequently below this last.
