Center marine mammals

The Center of the marine mammals (The Marine Mammal Center) is a non-profit organization American of which the goal is to help the marine mammals, to rehabilitate the mediums, to lead research actions or of education to the environment in favor of certain species within the orders of the pinipèdes, carnvores and Cetacea. Located close to Rodeo Beach in the County of Sailor, in California, the Center has accepted more than 12.000 sick animals, wounded or orphans since his foundation in 1975.

One finds these animals along the Pacifique coast of the the United States and are represented mainly by the following species: Sea lion of California, sea elephant, Seal common of the Pacific ( Phoca vitulina richardii ) Otary to fur, dolphin and the very threatened Sea otter. The majority of the animals brought are rehabilitated successfully and slackenings in nature; no medical research is undertaken by using the helped animals, although scientific data are collected through the diagnoses of routine and the Autopsie S of the animals deceased.
