Center POISK

The Center POISK (in Russian: Центр “ПОИСК” ) is an educational organization and of research which was founded in 2004 with the Université of Saint-Pétersbourg (Russia). Its original intention is to encourage the schoolboys and the students of university to be made independently of the scientific research.

Center POISK supports the educational programs which push youth to develop an interest for the Physique and the Natural science; and to imply them in “the activities carried out concretely by the scientists” and that as soon as possible. These activities include collaboration with the principal universities and secondary schools in Russia and abroad, of the seminars and the collective workshops, the international scientific conferences which take place in a regular way, of the linguistic programs, but also the promotion of the contests of research, such as the Tournoi of the Young Physicists.

POISK means Russian “research” in , but is also the Russian acronym for the Center of Support of the Olympiads and the Intellectual Contests.
