The Center or the area of the Center is an area of the Province of Hainaut (Belgium, Wallonia). It is located between the agglomerations of Mons, of Charleroi, the Thudinie and the the Walloon Brabant. Generally, one admits that it includes/understands the following communes, gathered within the Urban community of the Center:
- Anderlues,
- Binche,
- Braine-the-Count,
- Vault-lez-Herlaimont,
- Écaussinnes,
- Estinnes,
- Louvière,
- Rœulx,
- Manages,
- Merbes-the-Castle,
- Morlanwelz,
- Seneffe,
- Soignies.
She is considered with the Borinage, the area of Charleroi, that of the Low-Sambre ; that of Liege and that of Verviers like one of the components of the industrial Furrow in Wallonia.
