Center-European initiative

The center-European Initiative was created in 1989, and is presented in the form of a first European organization subrégionale. It received the direct support of the European Union (of which it is independent).

Built under the structure of an intergovernmental forum, it aims at the economic cooperation, policy, social and cultural. The purpose of it is first to help the transition from the countries of the Central Europe towards the EU.

Attributions

The organization is, by its members, mixed. Of fact, it is consisted representatives of country already members of the European Union (like the Italy or the France) and others which aspire to it (like the Albania). Not having the own resources for the democratic development assistance, it put on the expertise on the countries of the EU to consolidate the means of co-operation between financial institutions.
