History
The legend of the Hind of Cenon. In 778 Roland and his army going to Spain, arrived at the hill of Cenon. Seized of a divine inspiration, Roland sounded horn. To the sound of olifant, a frightened white hind emerges from the forest. Descending the hill, it crossed the marsh and crosses the Garonne with a passage guéable which it knew well. This escape éperdue taking place under its eyes, Roland did not have any more that to follow the trace of the hind and, its soldiers behind him, crosses the Garonne.
