However certain cultures, like the Amerindian for example, approached this act differently. The ancestors feeling death to arrive, isolated themselves from their group, in order to only die in peace. Wishing to keep all their dignity, but also wanting to save their family, in their avoiding having to deal with being grabataire. But also so that the close family and beings, can keep a beautiful and noble image of this missing person.
A Myth on the elephant S, which them also feeling to die leave the group in order to join the " Cemetery of the éléphants" exist.
