Cellulose
see also: Etymology of Cellulose
The cellulose is a Glucide, Polymère of the Glucose (or Polysaccharide of glucose), of formula ( ranging between 200 and 14 000) and principal constituting plants and in particular of the wall their cells.
Sources of Cellulose
When the cellulose is solubilized, it forms vegetable fibers (microfibrils). It is established hydrogen bonds between the molecules of glucose of the various chains. It is the principal one constituting Bois. The cellulose constitutes the most abundant organic matter on the Ground (more than 50% of the biomass). The quantity synthesized by the plants is estimated at 50-100 billion tons per annum.
