Cedi

The cédi (or cedi in English) is the official currency Ghana since 1965, it is divided into hundred pesewas .

Since July 3rd, 2007, Ghana has a new currency. Current Cedi is worth 10,000 old Cedi. The two active moneies until December.

Parts and tickets

The ticket of 1  000 cedi is introduced in 1991, those of 10  000 and 20  000 cedi appear in 2002.

The sub-units of the cédi (the pesawas ) are not used any more following one period of hyperinflation.
