Cecile Brunschvicg

Cécile Brunschvicg , born Cécile Kahn the July 19th 1877 with Enghien-the-Baths, and deceased on October 5th, 1946 in Neuilly-sur-Seine was a political woman French Féministe .

She grows in a republican middle-class family of Jewish confession. Its family circle is not inclined to let the women study, however it succeeds in obtaining at the 17 years age its higher patent. Already a woman " libérée" (for the time), it is its meeting and its marriage with Leon Brunschvicg, a feminist philosopher member of the Ligue of the Human rights then vice-president of the League of the voters for the vote of the women, which led it to militate for the Féminisme.

She is named under-secretary of state to State education in the Gouvernement Leon Blum (1) in 1936.
