Caystre (river)

The Caystre (today Küçük Menderes in Turkish) is a river of Lydie, in minor Asia, which takes its source with the Mont Tmolos, which is thrown in the Aegean Sea in the gulf of Caystre. It passes, inter alia, near the town of Éphèse.
In the Antiquity, he was venerated like god river under the name of Caÿstros.
