Caves of Nerja

In Spain, the Grottes of Nerja are the Spanish tourist site more visited after the Musée of Prado and the Alhambra.

The caves of Nerja are located in Andalusia in the locality of Maro, (municipality of Nerja) (Malaga).

The room of Cataclysm is vastest; one can admire there the largest column of the world (45 meters in height, 18 meters diameter).

The room of the Ballet accommodates concerts because of its exceptional sonority; every year, in July, of the artists of international notoriety play there.

They were discovered on January 12th, 1959 by Francisco Navas Montesinos, Miguel Muñoz Zorrilla, Jose Luis Barbero, Miguel Torres Cárdenas, Jose Torres Cárdenas.

They are consituées of three principal zones:
