Caveat emptor
Caveat emptor is a Latin Expression meaning “That the purchaser is vigilant”.
In some Jurisdiction S, the purchaser did not have any guarantee on the quality of the products. Today, the laws of several countries require that the product respect it for what it is sold. However, this implicit guarantee can be difficult to make respect, without counting that it does not apply to all the goods. Consequently, the purchasers must be vigilant.
In addition to quality, this expression applies to the policy of return of the goods. In the majority of the countries, there are no legal constraints which oblige the salesman to refund or to exchange. However, several salesmen offer a to have in the place of refunding. In the case of Software S, of Film S and other products coming with a Royalty, several salesmen will make an exchange for a product having the same title. The majority of the stores require a Reçu and impose a time to benefit from the exchange or to have it. Some large chains of stores have more generous policies or more flexible devices.
