Cattenom

Cattenom (German Kattenhofen ) is a common French located in the department of the the Moselle.

Geography

The city is located at approximately nine kilometers in the North-East of Thionville and at eleven kilometers of the Luxembourg border. Cattenom is famous for its water levels and its nuclear plant, made up of four engines of: 1300 MW, built between 1987 and 1992.

Parish church Saint Martin's day

This church was in the past the Saint-Etienne Vault of the Ordre Teutonique built during. Built over this vault, constructions of the new heart and the tower of the Clocher were completed in 1831. This church became the Parish church Saint Martin to replace old located on the site of the current Cimetière.

The church is equipped with a Orgue of Aristide Cavaillé-coll (1857), composed of two keyboard S of 54 and 37 note S as well as pedals of 30 notes.
