Catholicos

The title of Catholicos is a title equivalent to that of Patriarche carried by dignitaries of several Eastern orthodoxe Églises, in particular the Églises of the tradition nestorienne and the Églises monophysites, in particular the Armenian apostolic Église. The word itself comes from the Greek καθολικός , meaning universal .

Its current holder His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV since October 17th, 1976, it sits at Morton Grove with the the United States.
Catholicos-Patriarch of the Old Church of the East this seat is founded in 1968 when a fraction of the Assyrian apostolic Church of the East refuses the adoption of the Gregorian Calendrier. Its current holder is His Holiness Mar Addai II of Baghdad since 1970 (it was consavré in 1972), his residence is with Baghdad in Iraq.

supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of all the Armenians its seat was founded into 301, it is the oldest jurisdiction of Christendom. Its current holder is His Holiness Karekine II since October 27th, 1999, it resides at Etchmiadzin in Arménie.
Catholicos of the Large House of Cilicie , this seat was founded by the translation of Catholicossat of all the Armenians in 1058. After the restoration of Catholicossat with Etchmiadzine, the holder of the seat keeps this title of Catholicos. Its current holder is His Holiness Aram I {{er}} since June 28th, 1995, it resides at Antélias with the Lebanon.
Catholicos d' Aghtamar this seat autonomous in 1113 disappeared in 1895.

Catholicos malankares

Maphrien and Catholicos of India , the current holder of this seat is Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas Ier since July 26th, 2002, it resides at Puthencuriz in India.
Catholicos of the East and Métropolite of Malankara , the current holder of the seat is Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Didymos Ier since October 30th, 2005, it sits at Kottayam in India.

Ethiopian Catholicos

Patriarch and Catholicos of Ethiopia, Etchégué of the Head office of Takla Haymanot and Archevêque of Aksoum , this seat founded into 380 became a patriarchate autocéphale in 1951. Its current holder His Bliss Paul Gebre Yohannes since July 5th, 1992, it resides at Addis-Abeba in Ethiopia.

Orthodoxe Catholicos

Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilissi, Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia , this seat was founded in Ier century by the apostle André. the Church is autocéphale since 484. Its current holder is His Holiness Élie II of Tbilissi since December 23rd, 1977, it sits at Tbilissi in Georgia
