Catholic church chaldéenne
The Catholic church chaldéenne , catholic Church chaldéenne or Église chaldéenne of the East is one of the Eastern Catholic churches. The chief of the Church carries the title of Catholicos - Patriarche of Babylon of Chaldéens , with residence with Baghdad in Iraq (titular current: Its Bliss Emmanuel III Karim Delly since the December 3rd 2003).
History
The Catholic church chaldéenne was born from a union with Rome at the time of the return of some former leaders of the apostolic Église of the East, itself heiress of the antique Église of Persia.
It is the only Church which uses the liturgical language araméenne.
Currently, the very whole Church saw hard persecutions and violences vis-a-vis the islamist militia which emerged after the invasion of Iraq.
