Catherine Ringer

Catherine Ringer , born the October 18th 1957 with Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine, France), is a singer multi- Instrumentiste of Rock and a French actress . She formed with Frederic Chichin (1954 - 2007) the group Rita Mitsouko.

Biography

Born from a father painter of Polish origin and old Off-set (of which she tells the history in It was a man , on the album Cool Frenzy of Rita Mitsouko in 2000), and of a mother Architecte, Catherine leaves the family hearth at 13 years to live with a lover. She studies a time at the university and is interested in the Théâtre, the dance, the song.

Towards the 18 years age, pushed by the desire of experimentation, it turns in several pornographic films between 1976 and 1982. It also posed for the Danish review Sex Bizarre of the Color Climax and the Swedish review Pirate . Catherine forever disavowed this past which for it was only one experiment. On this subject, she will answer that she lived “the modern adventure” vis-a-vis Serge Gainsbourg which treats it of “whore”, retorting that in its opinion, “the modern adventure is not disgusting”.

Catherine Ringer is Danseuse, singer and actress of theater when it meets Fred Chichin in 1979. Together they form the group then Rita Mitsouko in 1980.

She played and sung the role titrates musical comedy Concha Bonita of Alfredo Arias and Rene de Ceccatty, between 2002 and 2005.
