Catherine Parr
Catherine Parr (December 20th 1508 - September 5th 1548), was the sixth wife of its third husband, Henry VIII, which she married in 1543, succeeding Catherine Howard.
She was the girl of a controller of the royal house, Sir Thomas Parr of Kendal. Educated, spiritual, poured in the study of the theological controversies, it failed to be lost by employing all its influence with the service of the Protestant . But its skill triumphed over the distrusts of the king.
It was certainly an intelligent woman who did not have her safety that at her address. Slipping through the “whip with six tails” (Bill of the six articlees of faith), it succeeds in becoming the widow of Henry VIII in 1547. Very éprise of the admiral Thomas Seymour, it contracted with him a union which was to be of short duration because it died in layers.
