Catherine Gfeller

Catherine Gfeller , born in 1966 with Neuchâtel, is a Photographe Suisse. After having lived with New York of 1995 with 1999, it lives and works with Paris.

Career

After an university degree in Literature and History of art, it devotes its photographic activity to the landscapes and traverses almost all the continents to find its subjects there. In 1995, it obtains a purse in order to continue its research with New York and is interested consequently in the urban landscape.

In 1999, it settles in Paris and receives the price of the Fondation HSBC for photography. Paris provides him a new subject of investigation on the topic of the city which it approaches with various médiums: photographs, video, radiophonic creation and writing.

Since 1988 Catherine Gfeller exposed her work to the Canada, with the the United States, in Israel, Argentine, with the Chile, in England, Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, Italy, Slovenia and Suisse, where its works are in many public collections and deprived. She takes part regularly in the fairs of contemporary art like Art Basel, Art Unlimited, Kunst Zurich, Armory Show, Fiac, Paris Photo, the Biennale of Ljubjana and Art Brussels.
