Catarina cyclone

The cyclone Catarina is the first hurricane ever observed in the South Atlantic. It touched the coasts of the Brésil on March 26th, 2004. Its contact point was Torres, in the province of Rio Grande C Sul.

Impacts

The total damage was estimated at 350 million $U.S. of 2004 (359.45 USD million of 2005). It killed 3 people and blessées 75.
