Catalunya Ràdio

Catalunya Ràdio is a public radio station of Catalogne, subsidiary of Corporación Catalana de Radio there Televisión, a company had by the General information of Catalogne. It diffuses only emissions in Catalan.

History

The station emits since 1983 with programming general practitioner. It is not the first station as a Catalan with being appeared, Radio 4, the public station, having been born before it.

Geographic coverage

Since 1983 it increased its geographic coverage. It is currently diffused in the community of Valence, in Andorre, in the Roussillon, part of Aragon and the Balearic Islands. Moreover on Toulouse, the programs of Catalunya Ràdio are taken again several times per day on Radio Occitania

Catalunya Música, founded the May 10th 1987, specialized in the classical music and contemporary. 29.000 listeners.
Catalunya Informació, founded the September 11th 1992, it is a station of information uninterrupted. 121.000 listeners
iCat Fm: multi-media radio station impetus the April 23rd 2006.

Goes down for hearing

This radio is the station in Catalan having the strongest audience with 522.000 listeners in Catalonia with the third quarters 2006. In Catalogne Catalunya Ràdio is listened to radios general practitioners. However its audience decreases since the beginning of the year 2005.

El matí of Catalunya Ràdio : Morning emission (of 7:00 at midday of the Monday to Friday) of topicality. 408.000 listeners
Eduqueu the criatures : one hour Sunday emission on childhood with 113.000 listeners.
El supplement : magazine of end of the week, it is one of the most listened emissions Catalonia with 169.000 listeners.
