Catalina Sky Survey

The Catalina Sky Survey , taking its name of the mountainous solid mass where the telescope is located, the Montagnes Santa Catalina close to Tucson in the Arizona, is a project to discover Comet S and Astéroïde S, and to seek objects géocroiseurs.

The team of CS is directed by Steve Larson of the lunar and planetary laboratory of the Université of Arizona.

This project has a counterpart in the southern hemisphere in Australia: the Siding Spring Survey.
