Catalan Republican party
The Catalan Republican party (as a Catalan: Partit Republicà Català ) is a founded Catalan political party in 1917, of republican tendency and catalanist, as its name indicates it. He played a big role in the Catalan political life between 1917 and 1931, date on which, under the impulse of Lluís Companys, he amalgamated with other organizations to found the party Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya . In 2005, former militants of ERC refondé the Catalan Republican party, with for objective fighting peacefully for the independence of the Catalogne.
