Castle of the Dukes of Lorraine

The Château of the Dukes of Lorraine is located at Sierck-the-Baths in Lorraine in the country of the three borders (at crossed borders German, Luxembourg and French).

This castle installed on a rock headland and dominating the meanders of the the Moselle was one of the favorite residences of the dukes of Lorraine (XI - XVII). Citadel with the doors of the Kingdom of France (XVII - XIX), the castle installed on its rock headland was destroyed and altered many times.

The castle of the Dukes of Lorraine east one of the only forts of the 11th century of the east of France, whose enclosing walls, the casemates, the massive towers with loopholes are still in a very imposing state.

The castle presents a collection of weapons of XVe and 16th century in its arsenal.
