Castle of Wall cupboard

The Château of Wall cupboard is the residence of the family of the Doors since the XIXe century.

Located in the commune of Manners-Verdey in the the Marne (51), with the borders of the Brie and the Champagne, its construction goes back to the XVIIIe century on an older site, which would have been plundered twice at the time of the wars of religion out of Champagne with the XVIe century by the Members of a league.

Placé with hillside in the valley of the Large Morin, it was a stage on the road connecting Sézanne to Montmirail.

Occupied by the Germans during the War of 1870, it was saved at the time of the Great War, then occupied again by the Germans between 1940 and 1944. It was released by the Americans.

It is flanked of a farm and a Pigeonnier. Two source S of water feed it.

Its Forêt conceals many plant species and animal, in particular of the Muguet, Groseille S, rabbit S, Renard S and Chevreuil S.
