Castle of Poilvache
Ruins of the medieval castle of the XIII {{E}} and 15th centuries perched at the top of a cliff overhanging the Meuse, the castle of Poilvache is located above the hamlet of Houx to approximately five kilometers at the Dining north of , in the valley of the High-Meuse Namur oise.
With the the Middle Ages, it occupied a strategic position with the borders of the Principauté of Liege and Comté of Namur, in the context of the Guerre of the cow. Not far from there is perched another fortress, the Château of Crèvecœur. This one dominates the village of Bouvignes-on-Meuse which depends today on the town of Dining with which it was formerly in fight for the trade of copper in particular. From where the nickname of Dining, “quoted on Copères” coming from Germanic the koper (copper).
