Castle of Lœwenstein

The castle of Lœwenstein is located in the Commune Frenchwoman of Wingen, in the department of the the Low-Rhine. In Lembach, to take the road of Bitche then that of the Border and finally the forest Road until the Gimbelhof . Then, to take the path of the Vosgean Club marked out ringed white pastilles of red to the carpark of the Hohenbourg. The course is then arrow.

History

The Château is also known under the name of Lindenschmidt . It would have been built by the lords of Fleckenstein and in 1283 it became imperial Fief . It is a haunt of robbers at the end of the 14th century.

The Château is divided into two joint parts which, to one moment of its history, belonged to different lords. Only a Citerne is still visible.
