Castle of Herbaudière

The Château of Herbaudière is located on the commune of Saivres in Two-Sevres (79) in the area Poitou-Charentes in France.

history

Mentioned in 1344, the seigniory of Herbaudière concerns the châtellenie Holy-Néomaye and belongs to the family Chauveau then Neuport during nearly two centuries. It is in Philippe de Neuport (death in 1630) that one owes the construction of a new home towards 1599.

structure

  • the castle forms a quadrilateral made up of a home in bottom of court and three wings of commun runs.
