Castle of Frœnsbourg

The castle of Frœnsbourg (Freundsberg) is located in the Commune Frenchwoman of Lembach, in the department of the the Low-Rhine.

History

The strong Château is mentioned for the first time at the 13th century. The lords of Fleckenstein completely restore it at the 15th century. It is a Château semi-troglodytique built on two Rocher S forming two autonomous entities. A Roue facilitated the routing of the provisions and construction materials towards the superstructures.
