Castle of Eck

The castle of Eck in the past Castle of Freytets, is a wine field located at Cadaujac in the Gironde. Located in AOC Pessac-Léognan.

History of the field

Its old name initially, Freytets, which wants to say " Fruitiers" then castle of Eck, the name of a former owner. Of a medieval pace, quatres turns with loopholes and an enclosing wall. Of end XIIe century, he saw remaining Bertrand de Goth in 1302. This famous Bordelais character will become pope in 1305 under the name of Clément V.

Wine

80% Merlot 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, of garnet-red color shining. Nose of blackcurrant and smoke " hearth of cheminée". The mouth is flexible and full with black fruit flavors. The final long and is balanced.

The Vinification is made out of tank stainless. Breeding with Microoxygénation. Setting out of barrels for 12 months.
