Castle of Crary

The Château of Crary is located on the territory of the commune of Ozolles in Saône-et-Loire.

History

Crary , in Mâconnais, was a moving stronghold of the châtellenie royal of Wood-Holy-Marie and had by the family of the Stock , originating in the Bourbonnais and of which were Antoine, Seigneur of Crary in 1462, Pierre , major with the regiment of Aligny in 1682, Gilbert , musketeer of the king in 1736, François de Neuville, duke of Villeroy , governor of Lyon, heir to Lesdiguières. It was then sold, at the price of: 90000 pounds with Louis de Foudras, count de Château Thiers , with Matour. In 1771, Pierre Emmanuel Dumyrat , lord of Malinière in Forez becomes purchaser of Crary, Dimensioned and Dovecote realizing: 350000 pounds.

In the middle of last century, a marriage makes pass the castles of Crary and Ozolles to the family of the Tournelles then to the family of Boisset .

Today, Crary is a high reception point in Burgundy of the South.
