Castle of Combourg

The castle of Combourg is a Forteresse located at the doors of the Brittany which is located on the territory of the commune of Combourg, Ille-et-Vilaine.

It was built between the 13th century and the 15th century on a hillock, at the edge of the Quiet Lake.

The castle is halfway located Rennes (39 km) and of Saint-Malo (36 km) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine (35), in France.

To note that Chateaubriand passed a morose part of its youth in this castle. The castle is haunted.
