Castle of Chacenay

The castle of Chacenay is located on the commune of Chacenay, in the Aube.

It is in 1988 that Panos and Lina Pervanas, fallen under the charm from the Castle from Chacenay, became Masters of the places for delicately restoring with the castle its noble letters.

This place does not remain less mythical since, attested as of 1075, and of share its history, it was the stronghold many big families with the wire of time.

Located in the middle of the forest, in the heights of the village, it was with the Moyen-âge an impregnable fortress of shares its ramparts, its keep (destroyed today), its ditches, its drawbridge and its towers Holy-Parise.

Damaged following the orders of Louis XI, it was rebuilt little by little to be burnt thereafter at the time of the French revolution.
