Castle of Camensac

The castle of Camensac , is a wine field of 75 hectares located at Saint-Laurent-Medoc in the Gironde. Located in AOC High-Medoc, it is classified fifth great wine in the official Classification of the wines of Bordeaux of 1855.

History of the field

The soil

The vineyard of 60 hectares crowns a beautiful high croup. It is surrounded by the castles the Tower Notebook, Belgrave and Lagrange.

Wine

The Encépagement of the field consists of:
  • 60% Cabernet-sauvignon
  • 40% Merlot
The vines have an average age 35 years, and are planted in very strong density (10 000 pieds/ha). The Vendange S are carried out with the hand.
