Castle of Bity

The Château E Bity is located at Sarran in Corrèze, to 10 km in the east of Tulle, close to the A89.

History

  • Castle of the 16th century, Bity would have been bought in 1715 per Etienne of Selve, Conseiller in Présidial de Tulle, and is resold by the family into 1843 which settled with the Château of Gane.
  • the Castle of Bity was repurchased in on March 3rd, 1969 and was restored by Jacques Chirac, after classification like” historic building” by decree of April 3rd, 1969. According to the secretary of Mrs. Chirac (February 25th, 1982) it does not have any file of the castle, whereas Selves de Sarran claim that Chirac was made give the files of the castle by the local Conservative.
