Located on the territory of the commune of Erquy, this castle was built in 1400 for Jean 1st of Quelenec, lord of Brittany. Bienassis was partly destroyed during the Guerres of the League.
Rebuilt from 1620 per Gilles Viselou, it passes by marriage to the count de Lambarc and to the duke of Arenberg, then, in 1760, with the count of the city - Théart, police chief with the stud farm of Brittany. Transformed into prison during the Revolution, it is since 1880 the property of the family of Kerjegu.
The Castle of Biennassis is a very complete unit: large classified avenue, broad ditches, ramparts, main courtyard, French garden. The castle and its dependences are out of pink sandstones of Erquy. The chimneys and the staircases are 15th and 17th centuries. The large living room, the room of the guards, the dining room, the kitchen, the vault, testify to an alive house.
