Castle Trigger guard-Canet

The castle Trigger guard-Canet , is a wine field of 80 ha located at Pauillac in the Gironde. Located in AOC Pauillac, it is classified fifth great wine in the official Classification of the wines of Bordeaux of 1855.

History of the field

The soil

The vines of the Castle set out again on 3 pieces and enracinent in gravelly croups günziennes reaching 30 m in height. The basement is argilo-limestone.

Wine

The Encépagement of the field consists of:

60% Cabernet-sauvignon
33% Merlot
5% frank Cabernet
2% Small verdot

The wine matured during 16 to 20 months in the Barrique S in oak, partially new (50 to 60% according to the year). In the vineyard with high density (9.000 pieds/ha), the average age of the vines is 35 years.
