Castle Top-Advising Them

The castle Top-Advising them is a vineyard of 10 hectares producing one of the most famous wines of name Lalande-to-Pomerol.

History

In 1973, Léopold Figeac, contractor with Libourne acquire 5 hectares of vines. His/her daughter marries Pierre Bourotte, already owner with Pomerol, with which it will increase the vineyard with pieces located on the plate of Néac. Pierre Bourotte is also owner of the Clos Bell-tower (Pomerol), Château Bonalgue (Pomerol), Château Monregard the Cross (Pomerol), Château of Courlat (Lussac-Saint-Emilion)

Vineyard

There exist two distinct pieces:
  • 3 hectares of light low registers on sandy basement with Lalande
  • 7 hectares of sablo-muddy ground with Néac.

Encépagement is composed of 76% of Merlot and 17% of frank Cabernet and 07% of Cabernet-sauvignon.

The annual production is approximately 50.000 bottles.
