Castle Smith-Champion

The castle says Fondation Smith-Champion is a property of the XVIIe century, located in the commune of Nogent-sur-Marne, which was bequeathed to the State by Mrs. Smith-Champion.
The property comprises a landscaped garden the of 10 ha located on the side of a hill dominating the Marne. Although the initial aspect of the park is largely deteriorated by the uncontrolled growth of the vegetation, some vestiges of the original factories are still visible. The park goes down soft inclined towards the Marne, along the slope, in a large grassy meadow. The prospects towards the river were unfortunately not preserved.

The castle, now occupied by a center of exposures, always has, in the western wing, the monumental library joined together by the historian Pierre Champion and his wife.
