Castle-Chinon (Countryside) is a common French, located in the department of the Nievre and the area Burgundy.

Curiously, the official C-W communication, used by INSEE (geographical official Code and other nomenclatures), the ministry for the Interior, IGN, is (without space), and the same for the common neighbor of, chief town of the canton and the homonymous district. This use however is respected little apart from the cases mentioned. In everyday usage, to speak about commune of (or about the canton or district it is the chief town), one generally employs name Castle-Chinon .

One writes also sometimes Castle-Chinon-City and Castle-Chinon-Countryside .

Geography

History

Its destiny is to be brought closer to that of the common neighbor of Castle-Chinon (City). Indeed, it is after the French revolution that the initial commune of Castle-Chinon was divided into two distinct administatives communes.

Castle-Chinon (Countryside) is consitutée several localities (Précy, Mouilleferts, Planchotte, the Bridge-Charrot, Montbois,…) located around the commune of Castle-Chinon (City) .

The town hall is located at Castle-Chinon (City) , in the street Gambetta.
